Obituary for Thomas E. Seebach

Thomas E. Seebach

July 5, 2018, age 56 years. Husband of Shelly. Loving son of Barbara Seebach. Dear brother of Diane (David) and Denise (David). Brother-in-law of Michael (Kristin) Kaschub. Son-in-law of Dennis and Mary Kaschub. Proud uncle of Amanda, Adam (Codi), Samuel, Jacob, Addisyn and Westyn. Adored by his kittens Kitty (11), Belle (9), Coconut (5), Bleu (4) and Dexter (3). Also survived by other relatives and many friends.

Tom started working at Champion Chicken at age 14. He created many great menu items over the years including his incredible soups. New menu ideas never stopped coming in. He was the face behind the counter, the friendly voice on the phone, the mentor to numerous employees young and old and looked up to by all.

When Tom retired at 48 he couldn’t sit still so he took on numerous side jobs. He delivered flowers for Rose’s Flower Shop, delivered cakes for Simma’s and installed soda and beer lines with his friend Jeff. He did all of this while he was starting his new persona at The Corner Pub, where he was again the friendly face behind the bar, the guy with the clever menu ideas, the go-to person about which beer you should try and his ever-changing wing sauces.

And if all of that wasn’t enough, Tom also joined the team at Lisbon Storm, Screen and Door. Here he used his joy and talent of woodworking to bring happiness to many homeowners repairing and restoring their historic windows and doors.

Would he ever say no? No. In his free time he would make anything you asked for: wine racks, pub tables and chairs, planters, mirrors, shelves, you name it… he was your man and his craftsmanship was amazing.

Tom’s favorite hobby was traveling. He started scouting locations on many cruises then decided to travel to specific destinations including the U.S. and British Virgin Islands, South America, Central America, but his favorite was Mexico. He loved to walk up and down the beach talking to people and asking where the party was going to be that night. Tom also loved sports. In the last 15 years he went to numerous Green Bay Packers games, including a few away games. Racing was a passion starting in the early 90’s. He was a crew member for the legendary Al Schill over many years.

Everywhere he went, someone always knew him. Whether it was from work, travel or going out. He was someone you would not forget. And we will not forget you!
