Obituary for Thomas L. Hackl

Age 69, of Pewaukee, WI, passed away April 2, 2018 after a valiant five year battle with multiple myeloma cancer. Tom is survived by his devoted wife of 46 years, Kristin Hackl (nee Kotwitz), loving family members Carol (nee Hackl) and Norm Rabl, Kenny and Mary Kotwitz, Kathy and Bill Hayes, Karen Bartlett, as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Tom was preceded in death by his mother Rose Hackl (nee Schwei) and father Alois (Lou) Hackl.

Tom was the Administrator of Graduate Medical Education (MCWAH) at the Medical College of Wisconsin for over 30 years. Prior to his dedicated work at MCW, Tom was the Administrator at River Hills - South Nursing Home for more than 10 years. He was known for his love of music, whether playing keyboards in the Travesty Band or just enjoying concerts or recordings, his wonderful laugh and sense of humor and his kindness to all.

The family would like to express deep appreciation and thanks to the staff of the Froedtert/Medical College Cancer Center and Center for Advanced Care, as well as Zilber Family Hospice.

Tom loved people and cared deeply about trying to make everyone's life more positive.
