"Barb"

On Monday, May 2, 2012, at age 63, Barb was surrounded by her loving family as she made her final journey home. Barb was born on March 3, 1949 to Donald E. and Jean C. (nee Ellingboe) Peterson. She is preceded in death by her dear father and leaves her beloved mother, sisters Nancy (Scott) Nushart and Susan (Ric) Green and brother Jerry (Lyn) to cherish her memory. She is further survived by many family members, including 10 nieces and nephews, as well as a host of friends, both old and new.

Barb received her nursing degree in 1972 and worked a variety of acute care specialties throughout her career up to 2011. Her love of her Irish heritage was apparent by her six vacations to the Emerald Isle. Barb was an active member of the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA), volunteering her skills at a number of racing events around the country every year.
