Frances Balistreri
(Nee Zizzo) Found Eternal Peace on May 2, 2012 surrounded by her loving family at the age of 98. Preceded in death by her beloved husbands Steve Balistreri and Gilbert Winkelman. Loving and caring mother of Casper (Sara), Antoinette, Thomas (the late Rosellen) Balistreri and Rose Curro. Cherished grandmother of the late Bobby, Steve (Denise), Lisa (Marc) Liebman, Lori, Joetta, Tom, Andrew, Mark, Todd, Christopher (Crystal), Nick (Sarah), Teri (Michael) Merrick, and 14 great-grandchildren. Dearest sister of Nick (Marie) Zizzo. Preceded in death by her brothers Joseph and Frank and her sister Mary. Also survived by her dear sister-in-law Josephine Zizzo, dear brother-in-law Dominic Zizzo, nieces, nephews, cousins and good and dear friends. Frances was a proud and dedicated member of the Madonna del Lume Society.
In 1947 Frances and her husband Steve founded the Venice Club Restaurant. Their first location was in Milwaukee's Old Third Ward and the family business continues today in Brookfield.
The Balistreri family wishes to sincerely thank Jenny "Amy" for her 6 and a half years of loving and dedicated care of their mother.
