Obituary for Salvatore R. Proite

Died at age 82 on June 27, 2018 from leukemia. Sal was born on June 18, 1936 to Leonard and Mildred Proite and grew up on the southside of Milwaukee. Sal married Jan Bartlett in 1964. They spent 54 years together enjoying life in New Berlin and Fox Lake, WI. He loved snowmobiling, bowling, softball and his dogs. He served in the US Army from 1953-1956 during the Korean conflict. He retired from A.O. Smith after 33 years and also worked at Securitas Security Services and Rembrant Commercial Cleaning.

Sal is survived by his wife Jan; children Philip (Tina), Nicholas and Matthew (Randi); grandchildren Alex (fiancee Julia Krickenberg), Kaitlynn, Briella and Nicole Arnold. Also survived by his sisters Ann Bontempo, Valerie Agnello, Rosemary (Ronald) Zych and sister-in-law Karen Bartlett. Further survived by nieces, nephews, and close relatives. Preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Mildred Proite; brothers Charles and Leonard Proite; sister Janet Chojnacki and brothers-in-law James Bontempo, Robert Chojnacki, Lee Agnello and Fred Bartlett.

Please join us for an Honor Guard tribute to be held at WISCONSIN MEMORIAL PARK on Sunday, July 29 at 12 Noon. Meet in front of the Great Memorial Building, 13235 W. Capitol Dr., Brookfield. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Stand Up to Cancer, P.O. Box 843721, Los Angeles, CA 90084-3721, are appreciated.
