Obituary for Linda Lee Deppert

(Nee Hetzel) Age 70, passed away after a long and courageous battle with cancer on Thursday August 23, 2018 at her home in Waupaca, WI.

Linda is survived by her husband Ron Deppert, brother Gene (Sally) Hetzel, of Lancaster, SC, sister Marcia (Bob) Ehrhardt of Oconomowoc, WI, brother-in-law Don (Linda A.) Deppert, of West Bend, WI, many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Linda was born on January 15, 1948 in West Allis, WI to Belma and Garland Hetzel. She had three siblings; Gene, Everett and Marcia. When she was a little girl Linda and her family moved to Little Muskego Lake where she spent her childhood. She attended Muskego High School. In 1968 Linda and Ron got married and built a home on Muskego Lake. Their son Jason was born in 1972.

Five years later they moved to Oconomowoc where Ron owned a business. For several years Linda worked in their store. Linda had many interests which included sewing, crafts, gardening, oil painting and showing her springer spaniel dogs. She and her husband belonged to several organizations which included the Wisconsin Springer Spaniel Club, the Muskego Corvette Club and the Badger State Corvette Club. Linda taught Sunday School at St. Matthew’s Church in Oconomowoc.

Linda was preceded in death by her son Jason Owen Deppert, her parents Garland and Belma Hetzel and her brother Everett Hetzel.

The family would like to thank Dr. Christopher R. Chitambar and his staff at the Froedtert who fought with her to the end.

Linda has gone too soon but her family and friends will feel her love and cherish the memories they have of her.

Memorial Gathering at WISCONSIN MEMORIAL PARK Chapel of the Chimes, 13235 W. Capitol Dr., Brookfield on Thursday, August 30 from 2:00-3:45 PM. Funeral Service at 4:00 PM.
