Obituary for Eva R. Reinhardt

Eva was born on January 29, 1930, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She was the daughter of Andrew and Katherine Ferber (nee Wessinger). There were three daughters and one son in the Ferber family. During Eva's childhood, the family lived in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in the old neighborhood called Pigsville Valley.

She became a child of God through Holy Baptism on April 13, 1930, at Apostles Lutheran Church in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. By this water of life Eva was washed of her sin and made an heir of heaven which she now enjoys. Eva was confirmed in her faith on April 18, 1943 also at Apostles Lutheran.

Eva graduated from Story Elementary School, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, in 1944. In 1948 she graduated from West Division High School, Milwaukee, Wisconsin at the half semester to pursue a career as a secretary.

On July 24, 1954, Eva married Gordon Reinhardt. Eva and Gordy were blessed with three children-Sandy, Sue and Steve. The Lord took Gordon to heaven on July 8, 1993 after 39 years of marriage.

Gordon and Eva lived and worked in the Metro Milwaukee area their whole lives. Eva worked for many years at the Arandall Printing Company in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin until her retirement in 1992. Eva spent her retirement reading, crocheting, gardening and most importantly, being a wonderful grandmother.

The Lord called Eva home to heaven on March 31, 2018, at the age of 88. She was the loving wife of the late Gordon. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Katherine Zank, and brothers-in-law John Zank and Karroll Harmon. She is survived by her sister Annie (Karroll) Harmon, brother Andrew (Carole) Ferber, daughter Sandy (Tim) Otto, daughter Sue (Rev. Jim) Hoff, son Steve (Bonnie) Reinhardt; grandchildren Kristin Otto, Mark (Suzanne) Otto, Benjamin (Kim) Hoff, Rev. Jacob (Laura) Hoff, Scott (Elsa) Hoff, Abby (Matthew) Pautz, Anne Reinhardt and Doug Reinhardt, and 11 great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, April 9, 2018, visitation beginning at 10:00 AM at Mt. Lebanon Lutheran Church. Eva's earthly remains will be laid to rest next to Gordon at Wisconsin Memorial Park, Brookfield, Wisconsin. Donations may be made in Eva's memory to Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary in Mequon, Wisconsin.

From death our bodies shall arise
To endless life beyond the skies;
By grace through Jesus we shall rest
There in heaven, forever blest.
(The Lutheran Hymnal, # 253)
